The course will benefit:
Everyone who is new to management or someone who has line management responsibility.

Purpose:
To enable participants to better manage absence in their team. Participants look at the cost of absence to the organisation and the culture of absence in the workplace. They then explore ways to improve attendance and create an action plan to take back to their team.

Defining absence
Absence versus attendance
What makes absence suspicious?
What does the policy guidance say?
How to deal with absence
Action planning: The lessons of the course and how they may be applied practically. How can delegates adapt, and what will they do differently? What delegates will stop, continue and start to do.
