Competence - based Management Development
The measurement and consequent development of individuals' management ability is based on a competence framework that is necessary for the business to meet its objectives. This process ensures that development is geared to filling 'skill gaps' in areas vital for business success, increasing the cost-effectiveness of development expenditure.

Europa assists clients in developing practical competency frameworks and then using these to: assess current levels of competence; design and deliver development programmes to reduce competence gaps; follow up with further assessment..

Outdoor Development - Land and Sea
The benefits of the outdoors are well known, with participants on an equal footing, engaging in facilitated feedback and rapid team development..

Europa designs and runs outdoor development and team building programmes using a wide range of venues and processes. They cane be land or yacht-based.

Development Centres
The use of a Development Centre enables the measurement of management knowledge, skills and ability to be done in an intensive, competence-based way. There is an array of exercises, activities and tests to be completed, together with a number of concurrent validation processes.

Learning Sets
The concept of self-managed learning (SML) is being introduced increasingly as a development tool because of its flexibility and learner focus. This improves both the ownership of the learning and the commitment to change.

Europa has made use of Learning Sets in this context where the input is non-prescriptive and the learning is practical and work based.

Psychometric Evaluation
Europa consultants are fully qualified and experienced in using a wide range of psychometric evaluation techniques such as OPQ, RPQ, DISC, Belbin, Myers Briggs and OPTIC360º.

Individual Coaching
Europa has a full coaching programme that stimulates performance in individuals at any level in organisations. This has been successfully used with CEO's Senior Directors Managers.

This is a highly personalised process, and our consultants, in addition to being skilled in coaching procedures, are carefully matched to the status and experience of our individual clients.

Critical to the lasting success of any Development Programme is the way in which the chosen process is managed. Europa sees this as key and ensures that there is continual client contact during the project both by the Consultants involved and also with an independent Europa Quality Director nominated for each project.

Europa will clarify project objectives and relate these to the 'bottom line' wherever possible. An evaluation process is put in place to facilitate and measure the levels of learning and change that have taken place.
